I was about 5 or 6 when my mother started to teach me piano. When it came time to pick an instrument in 5th grade, I wanted to be a drummer seeing as how my brother was one and he was a large part of why i started playing. When I was in my first band, Illicit, I was asked if i would play bass. This time, my sister taught me a couple of things and then I was on my own. To this day, music must pass through my ears or out of my hands and feet or I WILL DIE!

In the spring, we'd make meat helmets... When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds — pretty standard, really.
